SharePoint 2010 Install on Windows Server 2008 R2

Just a word to the wise, if you are looking to setup SharePoint Server 2010 you may want to use Windows Server 2008, not R2. Otherwise when you go to setup The User Profile Service Application you are going to get the issue below.
Unrecognized attribute 'allowInsecureTransport'. Note that attribute names are case-sensitive. (C:Program FilesCommon FilesMicrosoft SharedWeb Server Extensions14WebClientsProfileclient.config line 56)

Stayed tuned as I will update this blog with the hotfix once Microsoft releases it.
Update (11/19/09): Travis Nielson has created a blog with a workaround. You can use this until MSFT releases the patch. Make sure to make a copy of the client.config file before modifying so you can roll back.
Update (11/20/09): There is a KB 976462 that hasn’t been publically released yet but if you have access to SharePoint from the Microsoft Connect Site you can download it there. Although this fixes the error listed above I have not been successful in setting up a profile import yet…
Update (11/24/09): KB 976462 is available to the public and can be downloaded here. Still have not had success with setting up the profile service in a Farm environment, only single server.
