Booz Allen Hamilton, a management and technology consulting firm, believes that hyper-personalization, the ability to leverage analytics and other digital methods to communicate on a one-to-one level, will be a trend for 2016. We agree. For example, portals will offer patients and their caretakers the information they want when they want it. 

LEO Pharma has already done this. The pharmaceutical company was able to strengthen its connection with constituents and enhance its digital capabilities by developing a patient portal that actually learns users’ behaviors and gives them the ability to fine-tune their content preferences. The portal also includes email and text engagement features, as well as CRM and social integration.
