Sitecore Headless (formerly JSS) has been around for several years now but with its recent promotion in the Sitecore 10 releases, it is generating more buzz than ever. So as customers begin to evaluate this “new” model and more choose to adopt it, we need to begin defining standards for implementation. This series will outline standards, specifically related to DevOps, that were defined in a real-world implementation of Sitecore Headless with Edge schema hosted in Azure/React and Next.js SDK hosted on Vercel.

In Part 1, we will review repository management and how Git DMZ Flow and branch policies can be leveraged to maintain the Sitecore ASP.NET and Next.js solutions. In Part 2, we look at how to achieve continuous integration with two solutions. Finally in Part 3, we will look at the continuous delivery of both solutions and the use of a zero downtime strategy as well as the Vercel CLI.
