Video Episode 1 – Taxonomy
The day in the life of a content author/editor or potential content marketer is busy enough as it is. Finding time to also learn a new platform seems like a daunting task and frankly it can take many months. As one that has been down this road I thought I would take the time to build a video series that moves marketers, new to Sitecore 8.x through a series of crawl, walk, run, fly – steps.
I am happy to say that Sitecore is including these videos on their Blog.
This is the first of the series and it starts with a quick overview and a very fundamental starting place; that of Taxonomy. I would go so far as to specifically say, “Marketing Taxonomy” as it lives in (and pertains to) the Marketing Control Panel. This is where marketers can define tags for content, goals, assets, etc. and be able to define structure specific to their business before one piece of content gets created. The power, then, is how these elements are utilized – which I cover in the video.
I encourage open discussion and comments on the video from the community. Either on this Blog, or reach out to me on Twitter: @Sitecordial.
