Everyone loves lists, so here’s another to add to this year’s collection. The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), one of the most prestigious management consulting firms, released the results of its 10th annual global survey on the state of innovation.
The survey asked 1,500 senior executives across various industries to rank innovators within their own industries, based on their personal preference and, on a less disputable level, financial measures. Of the 50 companies on the list, a handful of them have at least a portion of their business in life sciences, including:
- Gilead
- Bayer
- Biogen
- Johnson & Johnson
- Roche
- 3M
- Medtronic
- Pfizer
When survey respondents were asked what will have the largest impact on their respective industries over the next three to five years, the top items included the speed of adopting new technology, big data analytics, technology platforms, and operations process.
