EPBCS Business Process Module: Projects

The Project module of Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS) is designed to support financial planning and forecasting for contract, capital, and indirect projects. The platform integrates project management systems and financial planning to support the complete project planning lifecycle. It has four components:

Projects Summary

  • Provides a full project view – both internal and external projects including approvals for expenditure
  • Ability to plan project details and facilitate continuous project planning
  • Additional extension with vendor programs and stages

Revenue

  • Revenue modeling for contract projects
  • Project benefits for internal projects: financial and non-financial measures captured

Expense

  • Driver-based models for labor, material, and equipment planning
  • Time & Material, Cost Plus or Direct Revenue – configurable as needed for each project type
  • Capitalized expenses for Capital Projects, with integration to Capital module

Analysis

  • Built-in reports for project performance
  • Project revenue, expense, and cash flows
  • Metrics – NPV, payback, IRR, ROI to cover project performance
  • EVM measures to track project variances and performance
