The last year has flown by for our Perficient Microsoft team – and that’s likely the case for most Microsoft partners. It seems like a mere few months ago, Perficient was both elated and humbled to be recognized as the 2013 Microsoft U.S. Partner of the Year. As mentioned in this blog post, at the time of receiving the award, Perficient had grown its Microsoft business substantially over the previous few years, from a small Microsoft footprint to a national business group focused entirely on Microsoft related solutions.
In reality, it’s been a bit longer than that, as the 2014 U.S. Partner of the Year has been announced. We are excited to congratulate New Signature on being named Microsoft’s 2014 Country Partner of the Year for the United States!
From yesterday’s CRN article announcing the win, which you can read here:
“We were shocked,” said Chris Hertz, founder and CEO of 11-year-old Washington, D.C.-based New Signature, which beat out companies with several hundred million dollars in revenue and several thousand employees for the honor. “We are only about 5 percent of the size of some of the past big-time consulting firm winners, but we have achieved the same level of recognition from Microsoft. We are humbled. This is a huge honor for every single person at our company.”
The article mentions that New Signature is being recognized for moving to a cloud-focused business model, and its success with Office 365, which is opening the door to higher-value solutions for its customers. The company is seeing a substantial increase in demand around cloud adoption, and that’s a trend that Perficient has also observed. We’re seeing larger organizations with more complex environments making the move to the cloud. It’ll be interesting to see what the future holds in terms of cloud solutions – from Power BI and data visualization, Azure, to SharePoint Online with Yammer, or Dynamics CRM, there is so much that can be done in the cloud that’s already driving productivity for our customers.
We look forward to congratulating New Signature at next month’s Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference. See you soon!
