The Agency for Healthcare Research & Quality (AHRQ) and the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) published the results of a study that showed the overwhelming impact on diabetic care when the patients are seen consistently by their regular doctor. When seen by their regular doctor, patients are more likely to be prescribed for their symptoms AND also are counseled about their lifestyle.
AHRQ has concluded that “Natural language processing technology is increasingly considered to be a cost- and time-efficient approach to analysis of clinical encounters, offering the advantages of large sample sizes at a much lower cost than traditional paper-based methods.” Oracle’s Endeca Information Discovery tool is the Industry’s Game Changer in discovery the blind spots in clinical care and variation to protocols.
