Perficient and Blue Yonder Launch New Site with Improved CX

Blueyonder Image

For over 30 years, Blue Yonder, formerly JDA, has been the leading provider of end-to-end, integrated retail and supply chain planning and execution solutions. With more than 3,000 global clients, its solutions deliver immediacy, personalization and convenience ensuring their customers reap all the benefits of a truly modernized fulfillment platform.

6 Weeks to Launch

Blue Yonder and Perficient worked with an outside agency partner to completely reinvent their online experience to reflect a new brand. Although Blue Yonder has been a long-time Sitecore customer, they faced some common issues with their implementation:

  • Updating content without requiring a developer
  • Inability to use experience editor
  • Lack of workflow
  • Over-customization of Sitecore creating the inability to upgrade
  • Limited resources to scale and properly test or run a true SDLC

With our Sitecore expertise, including our SCORE acceleratorwe brought a site full of animations and rich data to life. When we began the effort, we counted roughly 26 components, and taking advantage of the reusable and design-agnostic components in SCORE, we needed only to build six.

We went from design composition breakdown to production, including all development, provisioning of environments, and content migration in 6 weeks.

Work and Results

Our team worked to implement the benefits of a SCORE platform approach, combining an accelerated path to delivery and a content assembly methodology that allows clients to get the most from a Sitecore CMS environment. Partnering with Perficient meant Blue Yonder was quickly able to set up new environments, develop custom components, assemble pages and load content using Perficient’s content operations team, and even train their users on the platform. Marketing teams now manage content frequently and seamlessly.

Up next and launching in a country near you are an additional eight localized versions of the site including APAC and EMEA. Content authors in these markets will be translating and authoring content at a local level with specific access/content authorship controls and workflow defined based on the unique workforce available in-market.
