“…the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle.” Steve Jobs (1955-2011)
The world of technology has a lot of great characters to look up to, people who inspire you to succeed and innovate. The person I admire the most in this field is Steve Jobs. I see him as one of the most influential people in promoting technology and its generalized use.
Steve was an inventor, designer, and entrepreneur who founded Apple Inc. The products developed under his supervision dictated the new standards that technology companies use today and caused a worldwide revolution. Steve was truly a perfectionist to the point that people who worked with him said it was sometimes challenging and even stressful to be part of his team. But when success came, all the hard work paid off.
I am a hardcore movie fan, so one of the things that I admire the most about Steve is that when he believed that the movie creation process using computers could have a great future, he put a lot of his time and energy into founding Pixar Animation Studios, which later on produced some of the most iconic animated movies today. Once more, he was a revolutionary who contributed to changing the way big movie studios did things.
I admire Steve not only because he excelled at what he did but also because he has inspired a lot of people and even whole industries to do things differently, always put themselves in the place of the customer, and think of ways to make life easier with the support of technology.
