What’s happening in this release:

This change will be critical for those that use the Form Pre-population app today.  The current form population app will be deprecated as of March 31, 2017.  If you are using it, you will want to make sure that you are moving to the new functionality as soon as it is available.

What’s changing? There are several new ways to pre-populate including:

  • Query Strings field merges (available with the 485 release)
  • Custom Object field merge now allows for advanced selection of criteria (available with the 485 release)
  • Preference Center checkboxes to allow for updating of preference, (available now)
  • Static values which is a set value for all submissions (available now)

The timeline for this change is that when the 485 release is available on your POD to make the changes. As of February 1, 2017, no new instances of the Form Population app will be creatable.  As of March 31, 2017, all existing instances of the Form Population app will no longer function. Insights is getting a better home page! I know not a huge deal as Oracle makes more and more changes to the reporting functions in Eloqua.  We will be seeing more changes here in the coming months due to the move to reporting engine. What does this mean for you?  A better UI is always a welcome change.

Program Canvas has new steps for Subscribing and Unsubscribing contacts. Also, a great new feature for Program Canvas is the ability to add and move contacts to Program Builder. Both functionalities will assist in bringing more data over to the Program Canvas vs Program Builder.  What does this mean for you? If you aren’t using Program Canvas today, it could mean that you start to.  For those that have moved to the new BETA app for CRM integration it means that more details can stay in Program Canvas and not have to go to Program Builder, but if the contact needs to move to Program Builder it can seamlessly.

Have you ever wanted to see more than one contact when looking at Lead Scoring? Well, now you can! As of the this release, you will be able to pick multiple contacts to see how they scored. What does it mean for you?  You will be able to see up to 10 contacts from an account and how they scored. This is more than likely the first of many enhancements we will be seeing to Lead Scoring this year due to Account Based Marketing.
