As with most software applications, new versions come out every few months or so. With Oracle being one of the top software application and platform service creators, they are going to update their software frequently in order to stay at the top. Currently, Fusion Cloud ERP is in the midst of releasing R11. This means that there are going to be some new features for existing and new clients alike. Not everyone is going to appreciate every change being made, but these changes were done for multiple reasons within Oracle and were intended to bring solutions to issues with previous releases as well as more intuitive capabilities.
As I discussed in my previous blog regarding the OIE Mobile App, this is one of the most popular and intuitive applications available to Fusion Cloud clients already. With that said, there wasn’t a whole lot that people wanted to change about it. The newest and most exciting change that came with R11 is the Mileage Tracker feature. This has got to be the easiest and most efficient way to submit a mileage expense…EVER!
All you have to do is click on the Mileage Tracker icon on the home page and keep it open while you drive. It has the sensibility to pause tracking when you come to a stop. Once you have reached your destination, all you have to do is click the Stop button and the mileage is calculated for you. Not only does it calculate the miles driven, but it also tracks your start and end points. The only details you should need to add otherwise are additional comments or names of passengers with you, if necessary.

There is another great feature that is new with R11 for the OIE Mobile App, but I will present that next week. Until then, the Mileage Tracker feature will have to hold your interest.
