Digital Experience

Driving Collaboration Forward with IBM

DigEx Header

A retail leader in automotive replacement parts and accessories is always looking to increase employee collaboration and speed of business. While there were technologies in place, information was spread out over four intranet sites serving different audiences as well as a SharePoint site. For employees looking to assist car and body-shop owners with the auto part needs, finding the right product became an increasingly frustrating experience, email overload, communications challenges, and a difficult to execute standard operating procedure.

Perficient architected a unified platform to help out the client and upgraded their implementation of IBM Digital Experience, Web Content Manager, Web Experience Factory, Collaboration Accelerator, Apache Solr Search, and forms installations. With these new technologies in place, employees were empowered to collaborate and communicate more effectively while accelerating time to service for in-store customers.

In the end, the solution served as a vehicle for success:

  • Store associates saved a total of 1 hour per day or 50,000 total hours per day in lost time.
  • New platforms can be delivered at a reduced cost as needed.
  • Content can now be placed in a centralized location.
  • Employee time saved can be measured.

With these solutions implemented, the retailer is on its way to success and productivity. What other business cases can benefit from a digital experience transformation? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
