I was flying back from Dallas the other day and when we landed there was quite a bit of discussion in the row in front of me. The gentleman in the aisle seat had a Nokia Lumia 900 and his seatmates wanted to see it and hear about it. I smiled to myself as this happens to me, and I’m sure most Windows Phone 7 users, all the time.
I find that I’m constantly showing people how I can pin anything to the home screen and how the tiles are constantly changing & sharing new information. People usually marvel at the big buttons and the ease of use. When I show them the People Hub, how it aggregates contact data, and how I can engage with a contact in whatever way I like – email, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, phone, map their address, view notes – all from a single screen, they are generally impressed. Not to mention that they can flip one screen over and see all their recent interactions! Amazing!
I’m starting to see more people carrying a Windows Phone 7 but don’t mind being in the minority with my stylish & functional device for now. What’s your favorite Windows Phone 7 feature?
