By now most everyone should be aware that AOL made a certificate configuration change earlier this week that affected PIC communications between OCS users and AOL instant messaging users. Here is the first released blog describing the fix:

Well, I just found out that Yahoo will be performing emergency maintenance between 4:30PM and 4:30AM EST. The release I read didn’t specify if this was starting yesterday (Friday) or today (Saturday). From the message’s urgency and the ‘emergency change’ description I’m assuming it already happened last night.
It is recommended to restart the Access Edge service if any communications problems are experienced:
