VoiceCon 2008 – San Francisco

I’m getting ready for VoiceCon, which kicks off next week. I’ll be blogging everyday from the conference, focusing on what the UC roadmap looks like for the next 12-18 months.

Obviously I’m going to be paying close attention to Microsoft at this conference. But I’m not really there so much to check out the new widgets, gadgets and tweaks to OCS – although that will be cool. The two things that I’ve got my eyes on: 1) what are Cisco, Avaya, Nortel, Siemens saying about Microsoft; 2) who’s following the Microsoft lead on UC. That is, who’s looking at UC as a way to solve business problems vs. a technology replacement?

I’m planning on tracking down speakers from prominent vendors and getting some feedback on their game plans. It should be a great conference and I’m looking forward to providing info and insight from it here on my blog.
