I noticed this a while ago, but for some reason didn’t look into it until it really drove me bananas; which is now. When you use the OCS client "search" bar, you can search for people by name in your Outlook client, GAL, or any Public IM (PIC) contacts you’ve added. Like this:

But look what happens when I try to do it with a federated contact:
Nada. It will only bring him up if I start typing his full SIP address:
I’m not totally sure if this is a bug, functioning as intended, or something that can be configured somehow. But I have to believe this is a bug… you should really be able to type in any part of a contact’s display name and have the search bar return the contacts.
