I’ve posted quite a few times about the Cisco CUPS and OCS integration. I last left off awaiting a Beta copy of CUPS 6.0.3 to see if it would resolve my major issue: original calls being put on hold when an admin answered a second call.
And I’ve got an answer: CUPS 6.0.3 definitely does fix that issue! Now for the bad news: it pretty much breaks every other aspect of the integration. At a minimum here are some symptoms:
- calls placed by IP phone can’t be controlled by MOC client (transfers, holds no longer work)
- calls placed by IP phone do screen pop with wrong called-number – it shows the callers own number
- calls placed by MOC client stay active for 30 sec, then MOC closes the session (IP phone call stays alive)
- Calls hung up with IP phone still show the MOC window open
So we had to roll back to the original version of CUPS. Grrr!
I have another TAC case open and will report any progress.
