Last month, I finished teaching my MBA Digital Strategy course to 11 of my colleagues.
Over 13 weeks, they worked through a model of digital strategy, found new connections, planned some full scale campaigns, and enjoyed hanging out with each other.
Most importantly, they focused on self-improvement in addition to meeting the needs of our clients and the demands of their personal lives — especially during the time of COVID.
I miss seeing my teammates — even though we’re not physically together, we have been connecting through:
- Remote learning events like the Digital Strategy class
- A channel devoted to “staying connected” where people post random snippets of their lives
- A virtual fundraiser for The Bail Project, Southern Poverty Law Center, and the National Urban League that raised over $14,500!
- Online trivia nights across teams as a pure hangout sessions
Proof that culture can transcend distance and multiple time zones.
