From the Cloud to Real Life
We spend all week discussing how our customers can leverage Salesforce technology such as Service Cloud and Community Cloud to help solve business challenges. Now, let’s talk about Community Cloud and Service Cloud in a different context… Remove the “Cloud” to get “community service.”
As a Business Partner of Salesforce, our team collaborates closely with their ecosystem to bring our expertise and offerings to current and future clients. How nice would it be to take a step back, get to know our Salesforce counterparts for more than their work title, all while giving back to our community?
Coming Together for a Texas Region in Need
It was an extremely rainy Friday afternoon, but storms couldn’t keep the volunteers away from getting together to give back. After hands were shaken and directions were provided, our teams got to work quickly. Assembly lines formed to methodically place items such as canned vegetables, juice, and pasta into boxes sent to be packaged for delivery on behalf of the North Texas Food Bank.
The North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) is a hunger relief organization that started in 1982 and services thirteen counties in North Texas. With more than 8,000 people in our community not knowing where their next meal is coming from, they provide a client choice model to allow individuals and families to choose which food is best for them. Focusing on nutrition, with an emphasis on produce and protein, NTFB delivers over one million pounds of food per week.
We’re proud to share we ended the day having officially boxed 10,080 lbs of food for 8,400 meals!
Perficient & Salesforce: A Different Kind of Partnership
While Perficient and Salesforce have been close partners for years when it comes to client success, it’s opportunities like this that allow us to break through traditional communication channels and roll up our sleeves. Together, we partner in a whole different way.
“While we strive to help our clients transform their business, Salesforce has a mission to also transform and enable the communities we serve. It is refreshing to have partners like Perficient join us in volunteering and fundraising efforts that fortify the well-being of those who are less fortunate. After all, the ‘Business of Business’ is improving the state of the world. Together, with partners like Perficient, we are making a difference!” – Alvin Hosanna, Salesforce
Perficient Team Rallies to Support the Community
“When companies support their communities, they set a very public example for their employees by raising awareness and demonstrating action. Their goodwill is further multiplied when their employees, in turn, become positive contributors further influencing the people of that community. Perficient feels a responsibility to support the communities where they reside and seeks to set an example by giving back to the residents of their towns and cities.” – Cheryl Bunch, Perficient
This was an incredible experience to participate in with colleagues. We are fortunate to be working for companies such as Perficient and Salesforce that hold volunteer efforts as a standard way of doing business. It was only for a few hours on this Friday that we stopped talking about technology, but these hours made all the difference in being able to provide thousands of meals to members of our community. Not a bad way to end the week.
