If you’ve ever been to a campus career fair to learn about job opportunities, you probably visited one or two companies that really stood apart from the rest. For me, that was my experience with Perficient Digital. Over on the Life at Perficient blog, I recently posted about my transition from graduate student at Carl H. Linder College of Business, University of Cincinnati to intern to full-time employee on the Adobe team at Perficient Digital.
Ironically, Perficient wasn’t looking analytics talent at this particular event, but web developers. That didn’t stop Aaron Price, a senior solutions architect in Perficient Digital’s Adobe practice, from being genuinely friendly and interested in learning about me. He promised to forward my information on to the right person – and he did. From the Life at Perficient post:
Getting My Foot in the Door
I was among the top two candidates selected by Perficient for summer internship. The internship was a perfect opportunity to get know the culture of the company, the challenges at work, and the quality of management. I found that Perficient aced in all of these with a family like flexible culture and managers genuinely trying to encourage their subordinates to become better professionals by helping them in technical and consulting challenges. There was a lot of positivity all around.
Accepting the Offer
When Perficient offered me a full-time employment after the conclusion of my internship, it was a no-brainer for me. I am now a business consultant for Adobe Analytics at Perficient Digital. My role is to design and implement digital analytics strategies for our clients and provide recommendations on reaching key business goals in the most effective manner.
As a business consultant, I have worked with various clients to understand their end business goals and then design and implement their digital analytics strategy using Adobe Analytics. Hence my work may be described as a combination of solution designing, technical implementation, recommendation and guidance and post-delivery support.
It’s very rewarding to exceed expectations, both of clients and team members, through the high-caliber analytics solutions and extended support I’ve delivered. I’m proud to be part of the Perficient and Perficient Digital family.
