Bing Webmaster Tools: 5 Steps to Verify Your Website

1. Visit http://www.bing.com/toolbox/webmaster/

• If you have a Microsoft account, sign in.
• If not, create an account.

 
2. Once you log in, you will see the Bing Webmaster home page called “My Sites”.

• At the top, enter the website you want to add to your account.
• Click the “Add” button.

3. You will then be taken to the “About my Website” screen. 

• Add a sitemap if your site has one, if not you can always add it later.
• Click the “Add” button.

4. You have three options to verify site ownership. 

• You won’t be able to verify the site (see button circled in red below) until one of the three options has been successfully implemented.

 
5. Once the selected verification method is completed, come back to Bing Webmaster Tools.

• Sign in and the “Verify Now” link will be waiting for you on the home page.
