IBM named #1 in social software for the 4th year in a row by IDC

I’m always pleased when I see a company living up to its own hype. For the past few years, IBM has really been pushing the “social business” agenda. They have a lot of bloggers writing about techniques and tools for making your business more social. One of my favorite books on social media and social business is “Get Bold” by IBM’s Sandy Carter. And in fact, the numbers speak for themselves when you consider facts like these:

More than 60% of Fortune 100 companies use IBM’s solutions for social business.

We have a lot of social business experts at Perficient too, and many of them – including Mike Porter and Jonathan Distad – consult our clients on how specific IBM collaboration solutions can help their organizations — or rather, their people become more social. They advise these Fortune 100 companies on how to leverage IBM’s social collaboration software to drive efficiency and innovation within the organization.
