Microsoft announced that their new chat-based tool, Microsoft Teams, launched today to Office 365 users in 181 markets and 19 languages. Microsoft Teams is available directly in Office 365, and according to the Microsoft press release, more than 50,000 organizations are already using it, including ConocoPhillips, Deloitte, and Expedia.
In a blog post today, Kirk Koenigsbauer, Microsoft’s corporate vice president for the Office team, said that Microsoft Teams is a “digital workspace built on four core promises: chat for today’s teams, a hub for teamwork, customization options and security teams trust.”
