On Tuesday October 11, 2016 an amazing event is happening in Quebec. The very first of many Sitecore User Groups will take place in Quebec. The discussion will be on Sitecore 8.2 and 8.3 and I hear there will be sampling of the Canadian Salad or Poutine (This last part has not been confirmed).
I am very excited about Sitecore 8.3 from what I heard at Sitecore Symposium and the MVP Summit. There are a lot of great changes on the horizon some are public some I know because I am an MVP. I am very excited about Sitecore Commerce in Sitecore 8.3, we got a deep dive at Symposium. Attending this will provide insight on what is public and what is not.
One thing new related to Sitecore 8.2 is Sitecore Experience Accelerator. If you are curious about why this matters you can read Stephen Tynes article. Sitecore SXA – What it is and why it matters.
Date: Tuesday, October 11, 2016
Time: 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm
Location: Available when you register
Although it is best experienced in person you, there is a Google Hangout and you could always have your own local Canadian Salad. If you are in Atlanta, contact Corey Smith (@sitecorey) and he can provide you with a list of places to get your Canadian Salad.
It seems Stephen Tynes (@stephentynes) has found a place in Kennisaw Georgia called the Rotiserie which serves Poutine. Maybe you will find them there tomorrow with a laptop watching the user group stream on Google Hangouts.
The goal of SUGQuebec is to have an event every other month. Follow them on twitter and join the meetup to keep up to date.
