Liferay announced yesterday that Liferay Portal 6.1 Community Edition has been downloaded over 550,000 times since it was launched earlier this year. Liferay says this is a record number for any of its products and is more than double that of version 6.0 in the first three months. We reviewed some of the new features in 6.1 in a blog post titled What’s new in Liferay CMS.
In addition, Liferay announced “the start of a new series of multi-city roadshows to bring the recently released Liferay Portal 6.1 Enterprise Edition (EE) directly to the backyards of global business users.” This roadshow will travel to more than 20 U.S. cities starting April 4 in Boston.
