Texas Children’s BI Solution Wins Computerworld Honors Laureate

Perficient was recently recognized as a Computerworld Honors Laureate recipient for work done with the Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Tx. Texas Children’s, an internationally recognized pediatric hospital, is utilizing business intelligence technology to understand outcomes. At Texas Children’s, the heart center team were creating over 450 spreadsheets in order to assist in the management of patient care, research and education. This was the result of clinicians using several different approaches to data management and various reporting techniques. This difficult reporting method resulting in lower productivity, poor quality data, increased costs, and team time constraints. The solution for this complicated situation was to implement a business intelligence program which enabled them to quickly process data from multiple sources and provide a single source for data.

As a result of this successful business intelligence work done with Texas Children’s Hospital, Perficient received a Computerworld Honors Laureate in the Health category.
