As I continue to learn how to maximize my efforts when working on servers and workstations, I try to stay in the command line interface world as much as possible. In doing so, I’ve created this helpful table of common utilities I need to run – and their MSC file to execute them. The easiest way to use them is, of course, to enter these at a Start > Run dialog.
I’ve also included some of my favorite .CPL applet commands I like to run. For example, how often have you accessed the NIC configuration on a machine? For me, it’s far easier to choose Start > Run and type ncpa.cpl and hit enter. Done.
Commit your favorite ones to memory and you’ll find this manual command line method will save you lots of valuable time as your project advances.
