It’s been a busy year for the Perficient Microsoft team. In February we announce that Perficient had acquired fellow Microsoft NSI Partner PointBridge and with today’s announcement that Perficient has acquired Northridge Systems we continue to expand our Microsoft footprint and reach. From the Press Release which you can read here
Perficient, Inc. (NASDAQ: PRFT), a leading information technology consulting firm serving Global 2000 and other large enterprise customers throughout North America, today announced that it has acquired Atlanta-based Northridge Systems, Inc. (“Northridge”), a $12 million annual services revenue business and technology consulting firm focused on collaboration solutions, primarily leveraging the Microsoft SharePoint platform.
The transaction will increase Perficient’s current annualized revenues to approximately $350 million and is expected to be accretive to earnings per share immediately.
“Already one of the largest Microsoft NSIs in the country, we’re pleased to deepen our capabilities even further through the addition of Northridge,” said Jeffrey Davis, Perficient’s chief executive officer and president. “Northridge brings meaningful services expertise, critical mass in the southeastern U.S. and a proven track record of growth, profitability and client satisfaction.”
“With Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference just days away, we’re thrilled to announce this strategic expansion of our Microsoft practice,” said Kathy Henely, Perficient’s chief operating officer. “Northridge excels at delivering collaborative technology solutions that drive workforce productivity and brand experience solutions that drive customer loyalty. We see significant opportunity to leverage their expertise within our existing client base.”
The acquisition of Northridge:
Increases Perficient’s market presence in the southeastern United States and particularly in Atlanta and Charlotte, key technology markets;
- Adds more than 90 consulting, technology, sales and support professionals; and
- Adds client relationships with enterprise customers including Allstate, Atlanta Gas Light, Chick-fil-A, Duke University, Electrolux, Garmin, Georgia-Pacific, Lowe’s, Meijer, Pacific Life, Time Warner Cable and many others.
Northridge co-founder and CEO Rob Patten will join Perficient in a key leadership role, reporting directly to Aaron Sloman, general manager of Perficient’s Microsoft National Business Unit.
“Perficient is well known for its expertise across many technology platforms and is widely-regarded as one of the largest and most capable Microsoft systems integrator partners in the country,” said Patten. “Joining the Perficient team accelerates our collective opportunities for continued growth and success.”
I’m excited to welcome Northridge to the Perficient team for a number of reasons. Obviously the Northridge acquisition continues to build on Perficient’s SharePoint expertise. We have long been considered a leading SharePoint implementer and with the addition of Northridge we continue to add additional resources and Thought Leadership driving Collaborative websites, Intranets and Extranets as well as Social Business solutions. SharePoint has become the de facto standard for collaboration software in many organizations. Last year Jared Spataro Microsoft’s Director of SharePoint Product Management shared that Microsoft has been adding 20,000 SharePoint users per day for the past five years. With SharePoint Wave 15 public beta expected soon, few other Microsoft Systems Integrators will share the capacity, depth of expertise and knowledge that the Perficient team has around SharePoint and related Social Business solutions.
Which leads to a passion of mine – Social Business Solutions. Northridge adds to Perficient capabilities to deliver innovative Social Business solutions. With more organizations considering how to leverage their investment in SharePoint to drive Social Business collaboration both behind and in front of the Firewall, the expertise added by both the PointBridge and Northridge teams continues to build Perficient’s position as an emerging leader in the Social Business space. Whether leveraging our partnerships with Telligent, Microsoft’s 2012 Digital Marketing Partner of the Year, NewsGator (Perficient is NewsGator’s current Partner of The Year) or driving native SharePoint Solutions with Social tie-ins, Perficient has a wealth of expertise in this space.
The Northridge acquisition also adds to Perficient’s Microsoft Business Intelligence story. The Perficient team has been delivering Microsoft BI stand-alone solutions in addition to combined SharePoint/SQL Server based solution to drive down client total cost of ownership while frequently taking advantage of software client’s already own. With BI solutions implemented at clients such as Allstate and Meijer, the Northridge team adds nicely to this.
Lastly, location. The Northride acquisition adds to Perficient’s presence in Atlanta, Charlotte and surrounding areas. I’m very much looking forward to meeting my new colleagues and to Perficient’s increased footprint in Microsoft’s SouthEast District!
