One of the best things about working at Perficient is experiencing the incredible culture that exists in our offices around the world. This culture is alive and well in our Minneapolis office, so it came as no surprise when The Star Tribune named Perficient a 2021 Top Workplace of Minnesota this past month! We are honored to receive this award for the eighth time and are excited to add it to the growing list of awards won by Perficient offices in 2021.
Behind the Award
This year’s Minnesota Top Workplace winners were announced in a special edition of The Star Tribune on June 20th. There were 297 total winners, chosen solely based on results from an employee survey that focused on organization health, employee experience, culture, and more. These winners were divided into three categories, with Perficient’s Minnesota office falling into the small companies group:
- Large companies with 500+ employees
- Medium companies with 150 – 499 employees
- Small companies with 50 – 149 employees
A Team with Heart
While it is always an honor to be named a Top Workplace, this award means even more after the difficult year our team had to endure. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in March 2020, our Minneapolis employees began working entirely remote and had to adapt to an entirely new way of doing business. They were unable to see their coworkers in person or participate in any team outings or events. However, the team quickly pivoted and transitioned their culture to fit the circumstances. Colleagues planned virtual happy hours, tastings, and trivia nights to remain connected, and the team worked tirelessly to keep the Perficient culture alive whenever and wherever possible.
It is fantastic that we were selected as a Top Workplace again this year. It really attributes to the amount of effort that our entire team puts into our business every day and to the difference they make while working with a passion and a purpose. 2020/2021 was a challenging year and the team worked together to rise to the occasion and exceed all expectations. We couldn’t have achieved this without each other.
