Holiday season is upon us! My Atlanta-based Perficient colleagues recently participated in Operation Christmas Child. Our team packed and wrapped gifts to send to children around the world affected by war, poverty, and disaster. This season, as with every season, we have lots to be grateful for, and we should keep those who are in less fortunate situations in mind.
It was great seeing our team come together for such a special cause. Michael Yao (pictured above left) shared his thoughts on this event.
“During this time of the year when we’re all thankful for what we have, it’s important to also think of those who don’t have as much to be grateful for,” Michael said. “It’s good for us to set aside some time to give those who are less fortunate something nice to brighten up their day during what should be a very happy time of the year.”
In total, we were able to come together and pack 10 shoe-box-sized boxes full of gifts for Operation Christmas Child.
We have participated in Operation Christmas Child for the past several years. We look forward to participating and giving back to others in the years to come. My colleagues are proud members of the community, and we enjoy staying active and giving back. Past outreach events we participated in included helping out at the Atlanta Community Food Bank. We also sent packages to deployed soldiers with the Adopt-a-Soldier program.
We wish everyone happy holidays!
