Perficient Latin America employees come from far and wide. While our headquarters are based in Medellin, Colombia, our teams are stationed in various cities including Bogotá, Cali and Mexico City. Our Mexico City team is a small group of highly talented employees that work alongside our Colombian staff to deliver world-class engineering services to our clients. We sat down with Harim Pérez, Mexico City-based front-end developer, to talk about the advantages of working with technically skilled teams and a culture of continuous improvement.
How long have you been at Perficient Latin America?
I’ve been working at Perficient Latin America for almost a year.
What do you like the most about working at Perficient Latin America?
I enjoy being in the company of so many talented professionals and specialists in every field. There’s an incredibly high level of technical expertise in the company, and you can learn a lot from these highly skilled individuals.
What are your areas of expertise?
I’m a software developer, specializing in front-end development.
What are the qualities you value in your team members?
One is the high technical skill level and the fact that people at Perficient Latin America are always looking to elevate that skill; their own skills, their team’s skills or their coworkers’ skills. Another is the fact that if you’re stuck or struggling with a technical aspect of your work, the entire team comes together to solve the problem. And there’s always someone willing to help you; even if they’re busy or have other things to do, they’ll make the time to guide you. And vice versa, you find yourself making time to help others as well, which is very cool.

What would you say to someone that’s considering working at Perficient Latin America?
I’d say that this a company that looks for quality professionals; it looks for people with outstanding technical qualities and then encourages them to continually grow and become better.
What’s your favorite eating spot near the office?
I have several. One is La Bartola, which is close to the office, with great discounts on food and beer. Another favorite is a seafood place called El Peladito; they serve Sinaloa style food and it’s very tasty.
Anything else you’d like to add?
We’d love to see Perficient Latin America Mexico grow in size and gain new members.
