Larry Kim | How to Be a Mobile Marketing Unicorn in 2017 and Beyond

Takeaway Tip: You can revive sagging paid mobile advertising by combining paid social ads with remarketing campaigns to build brand affinity that increases CTR and therefore lowers your cost-per-click and cost-per-lead. Use paid social to promote your best evergreen content to increase your brand affinity with a larger audience. Tag the most qualified engagers with your promoted posts, and remarket to them to bring them to your desktop site for conversion.

Key Point: All the mobile-friendliness and SEO in the world will bring little benefit if the user experience on your mobile site turns people away and keeps them from converting.
Takeaway Tip: Mobile navigation labels should be clear & consistent. Use an open card sort test to determine user mental models for labels.

I would like to do something like that myself on one of my own websites. Is it a WordPress plugin you are using or did you code it yourself please? Thanks in advance. Gail

  2. Hi Gail, I’d be happy to share. That is a built in feature of the Social Warfare plugin that runs our social sharing buttons on this blog. In your WordPress plugins section under “Add New” search for “social warfare” and you’ll find it!

  3. Hi Mark, thank you so much for that and so prompt too! I will definitely install that plugin – maybe the pro version. i run a website for British Breeders Network (a .org domain suffix if you’re interested – i didn’t want to hijack your thread with a hyperlink for that site) in the UK and we have Facebook sharing stuff pinned down but Twitter not so much so this will be a very useful add on as the equestrian institutions like the FEI, BEF, British Dressage, British Showjumping and British Eventing all use the Twitter platform a lot, as do a lot of professional riders and athletes. I’ll let you know how it works for us… thanks again and Happy Easter.
