The 2017 HIMSS Annual Conference & Exhibition brought together over 40,000 health IT professionals, clinicians, executives and vendors from around the world. But for those who were unable to attend, there was plenty to be gained by following thought leaders and insiders on twitter.

The morning kicked off with a keynote from Ginni Rometty, Chairman, President and CEO of IBM who set a tone of excitement and optimism. The crowds were enormous and the sessions were educational.

Day 2 highlights included an incredible gathering of the #HealthITChicks, a group of powerful women (and men) who are dedicated to improving healthcare. Dr. Kevin Campbell did a quick in and out flight to talk about managing social media risk in healthcare. Some people even found a little time to get outside and enjoy a little down time.

Day 3 brought about discussions on coding and the always powerful Walking Gallery. It was a great ending to a busy week.
