On Wednesday, we hosted a webinar on what’s new in System Center Configuration Manager 2012, from 2007 up to and through the new R2 release. During the webinar, Bryon Burkhardt, a lead Microsoft infrastructure consultant here at Perficient, covered an impressive amount of content during the one hour call.
Bryon shared how System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager can help you keep software up to date, unify device management, and support information security and compliance needs. He provided a comparison of SCCM 2007 to SCCM 2012, and showed attendees changes in the hierarchal infrastructure. Next, he went on to talk about collection enhancements and role-based administration. Lastly, he discussed how you can now integrate Windows Intune with Configuration Manager to manage a broad range of devices in the cloud. All administrative tasks for this are performed via the Configuration Manager console.
