IBM has created a site to help get people familiar with their Web Experience suite. The site is called Getting Started with Your Web Experience. In the site, you will find tutorials on various parts of the web experience, including installing WebSphere Portal 8, configuring a database, and customizing the portal. The site must be in its early stages because there are several tutorials about Web Content Manager that are labeled “coming soon”.
One nice thing about this site is that it is set up by role. So at the very top of the page, you can select the role in which you are interested and the page then shows tutorials only for that role. The site is also very modern looking with animation, graphics and more. Content looks like it comes from the IBM info centers, but the tutorials include screen shots of what your browser should look like, which is often missing from the info centers.
Overall I’m impressed with this initial effort. If you need some basic training on your web experience, you should check that site out.
