More and more, I am reading great articles on Social Collaboration within the enterprise. Not only in tech-driven websites like CIO.com and Mashable.com but here is a recent article, one of many recently, in Forbes.com about Enterprise Collaboration. In this interview, Jeff Schick of IBM explains some core components of collaboration: knowledge management, process discovery and payoffs in using collaboration tools. Concepts that ring well are the use of Activity Templates and governance around collaboration. They really touch the tip of the iceberg, but if you are managing an organization that is looking at implementing social collaboration these are what you could consider some talking points around some business solutions of using collaboration software.
Next week, I will be blogging from Collaboration University at IBM’s Innovation Center in Chicago. Do you have a pestering question around Connections, Quickr or Sametime? Leave your questions in the comments area and I will get some answers!
