Recently I was working with a client that had requirements to setup SSL/TLS on the MQ Channels between their Queue Manager and an external vendor. The documents they had were all based on using the ikeyman GUI. Unfortunately XWindows is not enabled on the Linux machines their IBM Queue Managers run on. After doing some research, I realized that a complete command line driven setup process was not in one single place. In fact examples of some commands were not available on the internet.
The purpose of this document is to provide a cookbook level instructions on setting up SSL/TLS for IBM MQ without using a GUI.
