Kicking Off Perficient’s New Partnership with the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons

Today, we’re proudly soaring to new heights by announcing that Perficient is now the “Official Digital Strategy Partner” of the Atlanta Falcons

As the season gets underway, I recently spoke with Bill Davis, senior vice president at Perficient, and Joseph Willett, Perficient’s managing director in Atlanta, to learn more about the new partnership. Here’s an excerpt of our conversation.  

With several brand partners across various leagues and markets, it seemed like only a matter of time before we jumped into the NFL. Could you share more about this new partnership? 

Bill Davis2Bill: You’re right, Connor. We’re proud to maintain several partnerships across MLB, NBA, MLS, the PGA Tour, and even our BattleBots fighting robot. Today, we add the NFL to that mix, and we’re thrilled to be partnering with the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons organization is well-regarded for their intense focus on customer experience and their deep commitment to the Atlanta region. And we’re really excited about the digital work we’ll be doing for them as their Official Digital Strategy Partner.  

Perficient has a strong presence in Atlanta with a large local team collaborating with our global colleagues to deliver digital innovation to key enterprises headquartered in Atlanta. We’re looking forward to amplifying our presence in the region with this partnership.

Joseph: It’s a great day for Perficient, the Falcons, and our Atlanta team – I’m hyped! The Falcons are part of the fabric of our community and definitely a team on the rise. It’s going to be a fun season to watch unfold, especially with the prominence Perficient will have on game days in Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Perficient Kickoff Kid

Speaking of which, tell me more about the in-stadium experience. Will fans see Perficient around the stadium?

Bill: Absolutely! Perficient will be front and center on game days.  

Really exciting this year will be the “Perficient Kickoff Kid,” where we’ll be the exclusive sponsor of a once-in-a-lifetime experience for a young Falcons fan. Once the football is officially kicked off to start the game and NFL officials have called the ball dead, the Perficient Kickoff Kid will collect the tee from the middle of the field. This will create a truly unique memory for young Falcons fans and their parents. 

New this season, Falcons fans will also celebrate the “Perficient 3 and Out!” every time the Falcons hold their opponent without a first down. Those will be really electric moments during games. Beyond that, there’s closed circuit TV branding, radio, hospitality inclusions, locker room lunch ‘n learns, and more.   

Tell me more about Perficient serving as the Falcons’ “Official Digital Strategy Partner” — What does that mean? 

Joseph WilletJoseph: We’re excited to leverage our global technology expertise to help the Falcons connect with their customers and drive business productivity. From leveraging AI to improve the fan experience to ensuring that the team’s internal processes and technology tools are as innovative and impactful as they can be, we’re well-positioned to add value. The Falcons can focus on the field and we’ll focus on enabling them to achieve their desired business outcomes with cutting-edge technology applications. 

Why the continued investment in Atlanta?Perficient 3 And Out

Joseph: Atlanta is an incredible city to live in and place to do business. We are one of the top moving destinations in the country, due in large part to our proximity to several higher-education institutions, our network of startups, and the number of companies headquartered here. Atlanta is a thriving business market, rich with Fortune 500 enterprises digitally transforming to deliver innovative and amazing customer experiences. It’s an environment that continues to be full of opportunities for Perficient. We’ve had a presence in Atlanta for several years now, and we’ve been voted a top workplace multiple times. We’re fortunate to have a strong foundation already established here. Our partnership with the Falcons is going to expand our presence and opportunities even more.  

Bill: We’ve also been a proud partner of Atlanta United of the MLS and their eMLS star, Paulo Neto, for a number of years. We’re extending that partnership as well. We’ve really enjoyed seeing Atlanta United thrive, and we look forward to continuing that partnership. Both teams calling the beautiful Mercedes-Benz stadium home is just a bonus. 

Additionally, the Falcons and the Arthur M. Blank Foundation are deeply committed to building the Atlanta region with several programs dedicated to community outreach and transforming Atlanta’s westside. That level of community commitment is something we look for when selecting brand partners because Perficient and our colleagues are passionate about making a difference in our global communities. Our Atlanta team is particularly active in the community.  For example, we’re bringing AI Bootcamps to Atlanta later this year through our partnership with the Mark Cuban Foundation – that’s something we’re really excited about. Both the Falcons and Perficient are driving real change in Atlanta.

I can’t wait to cheer on the Falcons this season and see our partnership come to life. I bet Perficient’s Atlanta team is too. 

Joseph: Our team is so excited. Atlanta is fortunate to have several professional league sports teams that call our city home, and Perficient is now a partner with two of them! We recently hosted an announcement party with our Atlanta colleagues. There was so much excitement in the air. We can’t wait for the Falcons to kick off their season. 

Bill: Yes, this should be a great season. You’ll recall last year we entered into a partnership with the Minnesota Timberwolves of the NBA – and they ended up in the Western Conference Finals against our other NBA partners, the Dallas Mavericks. So, we’ll now be looking for the Falcons to keep our streak alive and make a deep Super Bowl run. Why not? Rise Up!
