Grant Moe, a technical consultant on our Salesforce team based in Fargo, ND, shares what his day-to-day looks like, and what he loves about working at Perficient.
Grant Moe, Technical Consultant
What is your role?
My role as a technical consultant entails developing a solution based on a certain set of requirements. This could be helping a client build a webpage or custom JS button within Salesforce. For anything technical, I’m your man!
How are you making an impact?
I am one of many very talented and smart individuals that accomplish the goals set by the SAs/TAs who help construct what needs to be done. I’d like to think that I bring some level of technical expertise to the table to get things done.
What are your proudest accomplishments, personally and professionally?
One of my goals, since I was hired as an intern over five years ago, was to be promoted to a more senior role as a technical consultant. I’m proud to say I’ve achieved that. Personally, over the last year or so, I’ve been focusing on my health more and have lost over 30 pounds by walking and eating right.
What has your experience at Perficient taught you?
Dive in early, ask as many questions as possible, and just generally be a leader that you would like to work with.
What keeps you here?
The people, trust, and interesting work that continues to come my way. Always being encouraged to learn and grow have also been huge factors in keeping me at Perficient.
What motivates you in your daily work?
The interesting work that is given/entrusted to me to solve for, which I find tremendously rewarding. I enjoy completing new technical challenges and learning from them, which makes me want to do even better the next time.
If you had to define yourself using one Perficient value, what would it be and why?
Pride – I take pride in my work every day, and the continued support we provide to any project is really something we can pride ourselves in.
What are you passionate about outside of work?
Being overall healthy! I enjoy taking nice long walks (when it’s warmer than -15F), reading fantasy books, and hosting DnD with friends at my place are definitely a few things I’m extremely passionate about. My little cat Taco also brings me joy each and every day with his antics.
What’s something surprising people might not know about you?
I grew up on a resort in Minnesota! For most of my life, my parents owned a resort, so I grew up working for them. It was a great summer gig and it taught me a lot of life lessons, including how to interact with different kinds of people and how to enjoy the simple things in life.
Perficient believes in a strong work/life balance – what is one way you accomplish this?
Always taking time for myself when I really need it. This could be a step away from my desk or just taking a quick walk around the block to clear my head when something gets super complex.
