On the heels of the creation of the Perficient Giving Employee Resource Group (ERG), Perficient introduced the Perficient Gives charitable match program, offering colleagues the opportunity to make donations to eight great causes that are matched by Perficient – up to $100,000 total per year!
Colleagues enthusiastically embraced the opportunity to double the impact of their generosity by enrolling in Perficient Gives. As 2021 came to a close, Perficient was able to make a $10,000 donation to each of the organizations supported by Perficient Gives. That’s $80,000 on top of the potential $100,000 match in 2022!
What organizations are we supporting through Perficient Gives? Each participating organization was carefully chosen based on the two pillars aligned to our corporate giving philosophy – advancing STEM education and improving health and wellbeing. Read more about each organization below.
Girls Who Code
Girls Who Code aims to change the image of what a programmer looks like and does. With the percentage of women computer scientists continually declining, Girls Who Code is on a mission to make an impact by working to close the gender gap in entry-level tech jobs by 2030. Donations to Girls Who Code helps inspire, educate, and equip girls with the computing skills to become change agents in their communities.
FIRST Inspires (FIRST)
FIRST is a global robotics community and the world’s leading youth-serving nonprofit advancing STEM education. FIRST’s mission is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build their skills, inspire innovation, and foster well-rounded life capabilities, including self-confidence, communication, and leadership. Donations help make FIRST programs available to every student.
American Cancer Society
The American Cancer Society is on a mission to free the world from cancer. Until then, they help fund and conduct research, share expert information, support patients, and spread the word about prevention. One in three people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, and the American Cancer Society is focused on attacking cancer from every angle. Donations support their two goals: eradicating cancer with science and activism, and providing information, rides to treatment, lodging, community support, and more to people living with cancer.
Make-A-Wish
Make-A-Wish is a nonprofit organization that helps fulfill the wishes of children who are fighting cancer and other critical illnesses. A wish can be the spark that helps children believe anything is possible and gives them the strength to fight harder against their illness. This one belief inspires others to grant life-changing wishes for children going through so much. Donations help make these wishes come true, impacting everyone involved.
Autism Speaks
Autism Speaks is an advocacy and research organization dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the life span, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. The organization provides advocacy and support, increasing understanding and acceptance of people with autism, and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions. Donations help enhance lives today and accelerate a spectrum of solutions for tomorrow.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
St. Jude’s Hospital is a children’s hospital treating the toughest childhood cancers and pediatric diseases. St. Jude’s is leading the way the world understands, treats, and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases by advancing cures, and means of preventions, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. A majority of St. Jude’s funding comes directly from individual contributions – so much that families never receive a bill from St. Jude.
Feeding America
The Feeding America network is the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization, working to connect people with food and end hunger. Their mission is to advance change in America by ensuring equitable access to nutritious food for all in partnership with food banks, policymakers, supporters, and the communities they serve.
