Taken as a survey from developers across the United States, ESG discovered that Bluemix is growing five times faster than other similar PaaS solutions. Additionally, IBM Bluemix also received high praise for being the world’s largest Cloud Foundry deployment, with more than 150 APIs and services in over 179 countries.
Other survey discoveries included:
- Bluemix developers are more focused on custom application development than other PaaS vendors.
- End users enjoyed the access to numerous capabilities offered through Bluemix.
- Bluemix is identified as a mission critical application for the majority of those surveyed for the next two years.
- Bluemix drove the highest levels of satisfaction in the areas of mobile application development capabilities, security features, and cost effectiveness.
In total, it’s clear that Bluemix is driving the hybrid cloud market. As organizations discover the need for cloud solutions in transition from their legacy systems, there has become a need for developers to access new innovations like the Internet of Things (IoT), big data, and cognitive computing to name a few.
