There’s a lot of excitement about the new release of the Journey Builder in the ExactTarget Marketing Cloud. It enables marketers to easily visualize and manage a “customer journey” at every possible touch point. The Journey Builder’s drag & drop visual segmentation approach is designed to enrich customer experience—depending upon behavior—for greater engagement.
The real breakthrough with the new solution is not only its visual capabilities, especially since most marketers tend to be visual, but its open conceptualization of the marketing process. In other words, a user no longer has to conform to the way an application was built for marketing. The Journey Builder was designed to let the marketer plan, test, execute and revise content the way in which they think. It’s like using a white board to design programs, without the board and dry erase markers.
The enhanced Journey Builder also, and finally, integrates the solutions within the Salesforce Marketing Cloud; and, triggers activities in the Salesforce Sales and Service Clouds. A very powerful integration tool indeed.
