I’ve been participating at HIMSS for the past five years but have never had the opportunity to attend the Keynote Sessions. This year, I am excited to be able to hear Dr Eric Topol, West Endowed Chair of Innovative Medicine, Scripps Health and Professor of Genomics, The Scripps Research Institute, give his thoughts on “the digital technology revolution and its applications for improving healthcare.” I have become a huge fan of Dr Topol’s ability to embrace disruptive technologies in his clinical practice and provide his insightful thoughts on creatively using these more pervasively in Healthcare. I started out as an early adopter of ultrasound in Emergency Medicine and now look to Dr Topol as a mentor to inform me of the “cutting-edge” innovations which can be widely adapted for Healthcare use. He helps spark my imagination and helps me think “out of the box” as I work with clients to help them utilize these technologies to further advance patient care, safety and patient engagement across the continuum of care.
So join me, if you can, on the morning of March 5th at HIMSS to listen to my mentor. Do you think he can help you reimagine the future of Healthcare?
