On Feb 2 2012, Microsoft released a very important document package on Sharepoint 2013 – the SharePoint 2013 Technical Preview Software Development Kit (SDK) . Though the documentation doesn’t cover full SharePoint 15 managed object model, it still gives a good overview of the types and members called by other Microsoft applications.
The other key document package that was also released during the same time – on January 30, 2012 – was the Office 15 Technical Preview Open Specification Update. It provides information related to the Office 15 cycle. The announcement blog post mentioned Office 15 as the most aspiring endeavor for the Office division.
The blog says :
“With Office 15, for the first time ever, we will simultaneously update our cloud services, servers, and mobile and PC clients for Office, Office 365, Exchange, SharePoint, Lync, Project, and Visio.”
Both these document packages are also known as the “protocol specifications”.
