Taking HIPAA pack as an example, WebSphere Transformation Extender Pack for HIPAA EDI includes 5010 support with ready-to-execute template definitions for the complete ASC X12N standard for HIPAA including HIPAA 4010 addendum, as well as CMS (formerly HCFA) formats for legacy NSF, UB-92 Claims and Coordination of Benefits, and 4010 flat file formats for Professional and Institutional Claims and Coordination of Benefits. The Pack features compliance validation checking, and handling of claims attachments. Also supports the National Provider ID requirement and Clinical Data Architecture release 2.0 for claims attachments support.

This pack helped many Payers and Clearing house to implement their 5010 offerings using WTX in timely manner to meet Government deadline and avoid penalties.

The compliance validation checking is a powerful feature in the pack, which can be easily configured to validate at different Levels by tuning the parameters.
