Techcrunch reported that Zend and Adobe have partnered to provide an integrated environment for developing rich web experiences Adobe Flash Builder 4.5. I, for one, remember a previous attempt that didn’t go so swell, but am fairly certain that they have ironed out most of the previous wrinkles. This is great since Adobe is a powerful player in the new web os ecosystem and PHP powers more front end web services that any other code base. So now you can develop, natively, for Flash and deploy to any platform.
It also has some great features like bi-directional code/design capabilities where you can develop in Flex and edit in Builder and the other way as well. There are some great features that are detailed on Adobe’s website, but look for this to be a great addition to any developer and/or designer’s tool set.
