Recently, I was deploying a PerformancePoint dashboard that consisted of both PerformancePoint scorecards and ProClarity PAS reports. It is a fairly straightforward proposition, except that when deployed, it looks pretty obvious that you have 2 different technologies or products at work here. In the interest of delivering the most consistent and uniformed user interface, I wanted to modify the ProClarity report to look like the PPS scorecards.
It took me a while and I am certain that there are easier ways to do this but this worked for me. I took the path of making ProClarity like the PPS scorecard instead of the other way around. This was a personal preference since most of my scorecards were already in PerformancePoint.
- In the ProClarity report, right click on the grid and select properties. Change the columns and rows to match the below.
Column header
Row header
-
Modify the font type and size in the Grid Properties.
- Finally, you will need to change the images (the arrows/stoplights/smileys/etc) to match. After looking for 30 seconds and not finding the PerformancePoint image files, I simply did a file/save from the PPS dashboard preview and saved the gif’s locally. I then (after saving copies) overwrote the image files in the ProClarity directory. I was only using arrows on my dashboard so I did not go through and replace all images. This does not change the way the report looks in the ProClarity desktop but it does change the view in the Dashboard.
Like I said, this is not very complicated, just a little tedious.
