“Who Run the world!!…Girls!!!…Rightly said by Beyonce. Women’s day celebration 2025 is a benchmark event which was well received by all of us. The dress code theme for this year is Pink/Lavender attire for women and Green/Blue attire for men. Perficient known for its diversity and inclusion set the dress code for men and involved them in women’s day celebrations as well.
Women literally lit up the office with confident smiles and stylish attire worn by our ladies with matching accessories and shoes to celebrate and participate in many activities/events arranged by the management. The effort that was us put up by each one of us was humungous. All we had in mind is this day is going to be fun and it’s going to be a day to remember.
Dedicate a song – Express Yourself
Employees can ask to play your favorite song in Jukebox/karaoke, and it can be dedicated to their friends and family. This event was like listening to a great playlist wherein we heard songs that were once close to our hearts and felt nostalgic. We grooved to the music and by dedicating the song to our peers brought us closer and felt a sense of belonging and end of the day, all it mattered was to relax and enjoy, everything will fall in place.
Surprise Events
Speaking about relaxing, Team had opened a mini salon at the floor 2. Services were assigned according to order of registration for pampering sessions including Relaxing Foot, Neck, & Shoulder Massages to relieve all our stress, Mehendi corner to adorn our hands with beautiful Henna designs, Nail Art corner and Eyebrow threading corner to give us princess treatment we deserve, and we felt so rejuvenated as we walked out of that floor. A lot of chatting and laughter filled the air.
Perficient Up Town
Post the salon session, Lets Go some shopping. Retail Shopping is a therapy for most of us. With advent of online shopping, we forgot the value of Touch and feel experience before buying the goods. To encourage women Entrepreneurs, Various stalls that includes gorgeous sarees, dresses, Handbags, Accessories, dresses for kids.
It was a delight to watch men shop for their family and of course women trying out different accessories and the discussion with their peers before buying it. To beat the heat Tender coconut waters were served That’s a great move to hydrate us as we were indulged in celebrations.
Refreshing snacks and Beverages
As we moved to the end of the day, there was an astonishing element waited for us at the ground floor. There was proper Tea shop setup with boilers, Wooden bench, newspapers and served the snacks such as samosas, Butter biscuits and served a nice gram chai (hot Ginger Tea). There was a chat corner that served Pani puri (Indian delicacy snack). The team of people to enjoy the refreshments made it even more reviving.
Conclusion
IWD is observed on March 8th globally to brings attention to the ongoing fight for gender parity and discrimination women faces in the society. Be it equal pay or access to education and leadership opportunities and it promotes the sense of unity. well… Its achieved above and beyond by the observance of International Women’s Day at the Chennai Towers! While I write this Perficient was nominated for an EX-Impact Award in the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) category.
