Perficient Consultant Hitting High Note with Hockey Fans

Eric-Wickens-550Eric Wickens, lead technical consultant in Perficient’s Indianapolis office, has been singing the national anthem at all home games of the Indy Fuel, an East Coast Hockey League club, throughout the 2015-16 season.
Eric is a classically trained singer known for his performances at Indianapolis chamber music festivals, gospel recitals and other civic events, but this job with the Fuel is his first regular gig with a sports team.
The Fuel is a minor-league affiliate of the NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks.
“Eric has quickly become a fan favorite,” said Gabe Amick, the Fuel’s director of event presentation. “His interpretation of ‘The Star Spangled Banner’ is moving and has been a great addition to our game-day experience for the fans.”
Eric’s musical career has included singing with the Indianapolis Opera Chorus and numerous community theatre productions. He recently released “Comfort,” an album of classical pieces, now available on iTunes.
His extraordinary vocal talent caught the attention of the Indianapolis Star in 2015 as well. More on that here.
